I remember when I was trying to think of what wrestling gear to wear for WrestleMania, I was actually watching ‘Batman Forever’ and it had Jim Carrey as ‘The Riddler’ and I decided I am going to be ‘The Riddler’ and it started with Blake and Murphy when we dressed up as Iron Man and it was just something I wanted to keep going with because I genuinely enjoyed dressing up as different characters or inspire my gear by different characters and villains. I am a big villains fan whether it is Disney villains, Scary movies, Comic Books, I am big fan. Another key factor for your success has been the wrestling attires – from Freddy Krueger to Harley Quinn, Iron Man, The Riddler – you seem to a be huge pop culture fan… It’s defiantly me putting my personal life into my work. Did you feel that you were ready for the big stage, when you were drafted in SmackDown in 2016? Absolutely, with the competition we have and the pressure we have to carry the women’s evolution, that pressure makes me feel that I was ready. It has been an amazing year and lot to take in and I am sure I am not taking it for granted. So, it has been an amazing journey and I have been very fortunate with the opportunities I got with the WWE being two-time SmackDown women’s champion, my first WrestleMania as SmackDown champion, and two-time RAW women’s champion, first ever to do both and now first woman to have a match in Abu Dhabi. A lot of times, especially in WWE, opportunities don’t come back. Because most of my work was with Blake and Murphy, so I knew if I was coming under the radar, I had to kick open the door and make a name for myself and take every opportunity and run with it. When I was drafted in to the main roster I personally felt I was one of the more underwhelming draft picks. I never had a TakeOver match, I never held title and all these things I thought you had to do to get to the main roster. But, I thrive on the pressure You are the current RAW Women’s champion, first women wrestler to hold both SmackDown as and RAW women’s, four titles reigns in total – all this in just over a year – talk to us about the incredible success in such a short time? When I was drafted in Smackdown Live in 2016, I was surprised. Key is to interact with the crowd and it’s just a lot of fun.
